Listing, Corrections & Removal Policy

Effective date: June 19, 2026 · Policy version: 2026-06-19

Full Stack HVAC maintains a factual, editorially-managed catalog of HVAC products, software, and vendors, built from public sources to help contractors and homeowners compare options. This policy explains how the catalog is built, how to correct an inaccurate listing, how we handle personal contact information, and when we will or will not remove a vendor or product profile.

It deliberately keeps two things separate: your personal contact details (which we treat as private and remove on request) and the factual company or product listing (which is editorial content we generally keep accurate rather than delete).

1. How the catalog is built

Listings are created and maintained by our editorial team from publicly available information — manufacturer and vendor websites, product specifications, industry databases, business registries, and public review platforms. Inclusion is editorial: vendors do not pay to be listed, are not required to submit anything, and are not excluded for declining to work with us.

We do not sell our catalog data, and we do not publish vendor staff contact information (such as individual email addresses or phone numbers) on vendor pages. Only the factual company and product listing is public.

2. Correcting a listing

If a factual detail about a product or company is wrong or out of date, you can ask us to verify and correct it. Corrections are free, do not require an account, and do not change a product's score except insofar as a verified factual correction flows through our published scoring methodology. Submitting a correction is a factual claim for editorial verification, not a request for approval over the listing.

Use the request form below, or email editorial@fullstackhvac.com. We review complete requests and update the record when we can verify the corrected fact against an authoritative source.

3. Your personal contact details

Separately from any public listing, we may hold business-contact information (for example, a business email collected during catalog research) for internal editorial and outreach use. This information is internal-only — we do not sell it and we do not publish it on the site.

You can control that contact data independently of the listing:

  • Unsubscribe / stop emailing: a one-click link in any message we send, or a request through the form below, stops outreach to that address. Opting out of contact does not delist the company.
  • Suppress your contact details: ask us to remove your personal contact information from our records. We honour this and keep it suppressed so a later refresh cannot silently re-add it.
  • Access or erasure: ask what personal data we hold about you and request its deletion.

These contact controls apply to the personal data we hold even if you are not a registered account holder. The factual company listing is handled under Section 4.

4. Removing a listing

Consistent with standard practice for product-comparison and directory platforms, we generally do not remove product or vendor profiles for products that are currently marketed or sold and fit within a category we cover. A factual listing of an actively-sold product is editorial content, and a vendor's preference not to be compared is not, by itself, a basis for removal.

We will consider removing a listing where:

  • the product is no longer actively sold (discontinued, defunct, acquired and retired, or a duplicate/wrong-entity listing); or
  • the product does not fit a category we cover, or the listing cannot be supported by a reliable source.

Where the underlying concern is visibility rather than accuracy, we can often resolve it with a smaller step than deletion — for example removing the page from search indexing and on-site search while keeping the record — and we will work with you to find the smallest change that addresses the actual issue. We keep internal audit records of removals and do not promise to purge third-party search-engine caches we do not control.

To ask about removing a listing, email privacy@fullstackhvac.com with the vendor or product and the reason. We review these case by case.

5. Editorial scores and opinions

Scores, grades, comparisons, and analysis are our editorial judgement based on our published methodology. We correct verified factual errors that feed a score, but we do not remove or change scores, rankings, or commentary simply because a vendor disagrees with the conclusion, and scores cannot be purchased or influenced by a commercial relationship.

6. Jurisdiction, privacy & outreach

Full Stack HVAC operates from Nova Scotia, Canada. Our handling of personal information is governed by applicable Canadian privacy law (including PIPEDA) and, for recipients in other jurisdictions, by the privacy and anti-spam laws that apply to them. Commercial email we send is intended to comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and, for U.S. recipients, CAN-SPAM: messages identify the sender, include a mailing address, and carry a working one-click unsubscribe that we honour. Removal of a listing and suppression of personal contact data are handled as separate requests, as described above. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data generally.

7. Make a request

Use the form below to correct a listing, suppress your contact details, unsubscribe, or make a privacy/data request. For a listing-removal question, email privacy@fullstackhvac.com.
